We wanted to know: Is there traffic congestion in the Seaport?

Seaport TMA commissioned a study with a leading transportation consulting firm to analyze traffic patterns in the Seaport during peak weekday commute hours. Anonymous cell phone data “pings” were used to visualize traffic speed and volume during the morning and evening commutes in the fall of 2019 (pre-COVD) and the spring of 2022. A similar analysis of other Boston-area business districts was conducted to compare rush-hour traffic performance in the Seaport to peer neighborhoods.
